Larnaca are top of their league. Moyes will view this as a not lose game. I know he normally goes all out attacking, on the front foot from the start but I think on this occasion he may be a bit more cautious and play a back 7 to make sure we stay in the tie. Then in the home leg the more usual back 5 plus 3 holding midfield players as we take the game to them in the last 15 minutes. I cant understand all this negativity about our beloved manager. After all remember his motto. I win. That's what I do.

I'd actually give Kehrer and Downes a go in midfield. Keher hasn't done well in defence but could be a more mobile option than Soucek in the centre.

Zico that was suggested a while back side Kehrer has some pace. Downes is more mobile too. But neither of them is any good in the air defending corners and free kicks so will never replace Soucek :-(

Moyes has yet to work out that if you keep the ball far better and attack more you don’t usually have so many corners , free kicks and crosses to defend. The genius of Moyesinho

Well if we lose this over 2 legs then we deserve to go down as well, If we lose the away leg then that will be embarrassing enough, its about the easiest draw we could have got so absolutely no excuse why we cant make the QF.

But after that dire shit I saw on the weekend I expect this lot form Cyprus will think they can get a famous victory………and who can blame them?

Yeah I’d pretty much go the same, Villa is 100% priority and not being funny we should be able to beat these lot even considering how shit we are. I’d play Downes against villa the weekend as well though.
